Original surface table

278 Franklin (Resurfaced]

The table features an extraordinary wood surface – made from the salvaged longleaf pine of an 1882 warehouse at 31 Leonard Street in Lower Manhattan. Its clean lines, and tapered metal legs are a simple, versatile design that adapts to a range of spaces – modern, traditional or eclectic. Each table, with its variation in color, grain, hairline checks, knots and the occasional nail hole – is truly one-of-a-kind. With documented research of both its historical site and tree rings – yielding the age of the tree (when it was felled) and potentially, its forest origins – the table carries unprecedented provenance – a backstory that can spark the imagination in new ways over time.
